The Diversity Clerkship in Trauma, Burn Care and Research is a four week program designed to introduce fourth year medical students to clinical care in trauma and burn as well as research in these areas. The Clerk will participate in a four week clinical elective and will receive a stipend to defray the cost of travel and housing expenses.
- Students are provided the opportunity to network with residency program directors, residents, faculty, and students, and have access to the Office of Graduate Medical Education, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, medical school library, seminars, and workshops.
The program targets students nationwide, who can enrich the diversity of our surgical residency program and subsequently enhance faculty diversity. Thus students from underrepresented populations in medicine are strongly encouraged to apply.
