I chose to attend Stritch because of its welcoming and friendly community, which was really apparent in just the few times that I visited the school. From the interview day to second look, I couldn't help but notice all the smiles on the students' faces and how down-to-earth the faculty and administrators were. I already felt like I was a part of the Stritch family before I even started the first day of classes. Because I knew medical school would be rigorous academically, I wanted to study at a school with a collaborative student body and supportive faculty/administrators.
Involvement in and out of School
STAR Research Program, Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA), Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG), New Life Volunteering Society (NLVS) Free Clinic, Pet Therapy
I have an open mind about all areas of medicine, but I am currently interested in Family Medicine because I really enjoy the continuation of care that I would be able to provide my patients. I'm sure that as my exposure to the medical field increases through rotations next year, I will better be able to better discern my interests.
