Loyola ENT Residents Win 1st and 2nd Place at Lederer-Pierce Resident Research Competition

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery congratulates Matthew Bartindale, MD; Jason Bell, MD; and Lauren Murrill, MD for presenting their research projects at the Lederer-Pierce Resident Research Competition of the Chicago Laryngological and Otological Society on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.

  • Dr. Lauren Murrill was awarded first place for her project "Targeting Toll-like Receptors to Prevent Skin Cancer."
  • Dr. Jason Bell received second place for his project "Effects of XJB on Gene Expression in the Facial Motor Nucleus after Axotomy."
  • Honorable mention for Dr. Bartindale and his project, "Neurotologic Complications following Microvascular Decompression Surgery."
