The first step in applying to the Stritch MD/PhD Program is to complete a standardized application, which is provided by the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) beginning in early April. Students submit this application electronically to AMCAS and designate which medical schools are to receive a copy.

All applications to the MD/PhD Program are reviewed concurrently by the Stritch School of Medicine Admissions committee and the MD/PhD program. No separate application is required but the applications must clearly indicate a combined degree program is sought.
Initially, Admissions officers at Stritch review AMCAS applications to determine which applicants will be sent the Stritch Supplemental Application, which includes short-answer and essay questions that allow students to present their personal experiences and insights.
Stritch accepts applications from June 1 through November 15 each year. Applicants are encouraged to complete both the AMCAS and SSOM secondary application as soon as possible, ideally before November 1. Applications are not considered complete and further reviewed until the supplemental application is returned.
To ensure timely processing, applicants are encouraged to frequently check on their application status.
Letters of recommendation are accepted through the AMCAS letter service in order for your file to be reviewed by the Committee on Admissions at the Stritch School of Medicine (SSOM) and the MD/PhD Program.
It is helpful for Letters of Evaluation to include your full name and AMCAS I.D.#
Completed files are reviewed to determine if the applicant is eligible for interview. Interviews take place at the medical school in December and January. These interviews allow prospective students to speak with faculty members and students.
Tentative interview dates for 2016-2017
