GI / Minimally Invasive Surgery

Minimally Invasive Surgery is an integral component within the Department of Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center. In addition to basic laparoscopic procedures performed by many members of the Department, there are a number of advanced procedures performed by the MIS division.

Our group provides training for medical students, surgical residents and others in the treatment of complex gastrointestinal disorders, abdominal wall reconstruction and obesity surgery and other therapies. We not only utilize the latest laparoscopic techniques, but also perform a number of advanced endoscopic and robotic procedures. Our focus includes offering therapies and utilizing the latest technology in performing advanced procedures for weight loss, gastroesophageal reflux disease, motility disorders of the esophagus, solid organ surgery and abdominal wall reconstruction.

We focus on providing an exceptional educational environment while offering world-class therapy.
