Albanian American Medical Student Society
The Albanian American Medical Student Society (AAMSS) at SSOM acts to establish a professional network for medical students and medical professionals both from and proximal to the Albanian-American Community. Through partnerships with Albanian-American medical students and professionals at other institutions, AAMSS at Stritch will work to assist in the achievement of educational goals of medical students and facilitate the search for career opportunities as they prepare for residency. Similarly, AAMSS will be a source of support for undergraduate students seeking admission to medical school. This group will also serve to raise cultural awareness and encourage advocacy for the health and wellness of the wider Albanian-American community, especially in light of the Albanian Diaspora and the socioeconomic obstacles that have arisen therefrom.
