CommunityHealth - Primary Care Clinic
CommunityHealth is the largest volunteer-based free clinic in the nation. As a Chicago-based medical home for Illinois' underserved, the organization offers its patients free primary and specialty care, diagnostic lab testing, pharmacy services, and a range of educational and social services. Stritch School of Medicine students and volunteer Loyola physicians hold a weekly primary-care clinic on Monday nights at CommunityHealth’s clinic in West Town.
Medical students are provided a unique opportunity through CommunityHealth to immerse themselves in local communities while gaining experience in clinical settings providing high-quality, patient-centered care at no cost to the patients. Additionally, medical student volunteers strive to provide resources and information to the Stritch community surrounding current health disparities and health access issues in Chicago.
The Clinic is located at 2611 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622 and lasts from 5 PM to 9 PM every Monday.
