Oncology Interest Group

The Oncology Interest Group (OncIG) provides Loyola students with opportunities to gain exposure to the medical specialties that deal with the treatment of cancer through interactions with Loyola physicians, researchers, and cancer patients.

Events

OncIG is actively involved in organizing informative events and facilitating shadowing and research experiences. Some planed events include:

1. A multidisciplinary panel of Loyola physicians who treat cancer patients
2. Several journal club events to learn about the advances in cancer care
3. Discussions led by cancer patients sharing their experiences
4. Opportunity to attend tumor boards
5. Compilation of potential research opportunities in cancer
