Pediatric Interest Group

The Pediatric Interest Group (PIG) is committed to providing students with exposure to pediatric medicine though avenues that expand their interest in the field. Acting as the liaison between Stritch students and opportunities in pediatric medicine at Loyola and in the Greater Chicago area, PIG aims to provide a platform for students to develop a passion for pediatric medicine through interaction with pediatric medical professionals and exposure to interacting with pediatric patients in a variety of settings. Members can connect with local pediatricians and pediatric residents for clinical and/or research experiences, volunteer weekly in the Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital (STEPs program), participate in numerous additional service activities and fundraising campaigns, and broaden their academic knowledge through the Trends in Pediatric Medicine seminar series.
