Students Curious in Outrageous Pathology Experiences

Students Curious in Outrageous Pathology Experiences (SCOPE) is Loyola's Pathology interest group geared toward exposing medical students to the field of pathology while helping future pathology applicants gain experience with leaders in the field. SCOPE believes that by understanding the work of the pathology labs, medical students will be better served as future physicians (of all types). In addition, by allowing students to explore pathology, they will be able to make a more informed decision when it comes to selecting a medical specialty. Throughout the year, SCOPE holds various exciting events such as Halloween in the Morgue, Pathology Jeopardy, seminars about topics in pathology, and even a summer picnic with Dr. Mirza! SCOPE is a great way to learn about the dynamic and interesting field of Pathology, and perhaps also see it’s an ideal specialty choice for you.

Check out SCOPE on social media via Twitter and Facebook! Rotating medical students are constantly tweeting using the hashtags #PathElective and #TwitterHomework - be sure to follow along!
