Atesmachew is a research assistant professor at Loyola University. He graduated from George Mason University with a PHD in Computational Social Science. His research interests focus broadly in the area of complex adaptive systems and specifically on advancing the understanding of the human-pathogen-environment interactions. Outside of the lab, he enjoys traveling, reading,  and engaging in community activities.
