Neuro-Oncology

The Division of Neuro-Oncology cares for patients with intrinsic brain tumors such as gliomas, astrocytomas, oligodendroglioma, ependymoma, and ganglioglioma.

We partner with a multi-disciplinary Tumor Board weekly to provide patients with a comprehensive treatment paradigm.  People with these types of tumors have their cases reviewed by neurosurgeons as well as fellowship-trained neuro-oncologists, neuroradiologists, radiation oncologists, neuropathologists, and neurologists.  The Neurosurgery Department offers patients undergoing surgery for brain tumors traditional approaches as well as newer, more minimally-invasive corridors through small ports.  We use intraoperative navigation, neurphysiological monitoring, and tumor fluorescence, as well as technicques for awake brain surgeries to provide patients with the latest technology and the best tumor resections possible.
