|Description:||The goal of this course is to prepare Loyola students entering OB/GYN residency with the skills and knowledge that is expected of them when they begin residency as outlined by ACOG and CREOG. This course will combine didactic and hands on simulation training. Specific topics covered will include: contraception, IUDs, pap smears, abnormal vaginal bleeding, various surgical skills, ultrasound, prenatal care, and labor and delivery.|
|Method of Evaluation:||Final evaluation will be based on active participation in lectures, simulations, and stations. Students are expected to demonstrate proficiency in the topics covered, which will be formally evaluated on the last day of the course through a series of stations. Students will be graded on a pass/fail basis on the course director, Scott Graziano’s, discretion based on the above criteria.|
