These leaders came to SAS with a passion for helping fellow students, and will not be bugged by any questions you may have. Non-School Experience: I went straight to medical school after undergrad but I’ve always been heavily involved in a lot of service (Habitat for Humanity, Oak Park Food Pantry, Friends of the Elderly, Veterans Health Partners, etc.)

Non-School Experience: Came to SSOM right after graduating college, but here have been involved with public health research, a local ISI project with Housing Forward and running with a Chicago based non-profit called Back on My Feet.

Non-School Experience: Volunteered at various homeless shelters, worked at an assisted living facility and in hospice care during my gap years, also became a mommy to the best shelter puppy ever (Ruv you, Molls!)

Non-School Experience: I lived in South Korea for two years and taught English to elementary students as Fulbright scholar, which was awesome! I also spent a year in Jamkhed, India as a Mabelle Arole Fellow and had the chance to work with the Village Health Care workers inincreasing health access in rural India.

Hometown:My hometown was Rathdrum, Idaho growing up.

School Experience:: I attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA for undergrad and University of Washington WWAMI program for med school.

Non-School Experience: Between undergrad and med school I was a volunteer with Lutheran Volunteer Corps and ended up in Chicago working with homeless youth. I met my partner that year and she's stuck with me for the last 21yrs.  We now have two awesome kids and a pretty great Rottweiler.
