Student Wellness Advisory Group
The Student Wellness Advisory Group (SWAG) serves as a liaison between the Stritch School of Medicine student body and the administration. SWAG advocates on behalf of the student body to ensure that student wellness concerns are represented, recognized, and provided for. SWAG also works to promote balanced, healthy practices among the diverse student population. This mission is fulfilled through multifaceted programming, advocacy, and awareness efforts.
Our current SWAG Board members are:
- Kathleen Osea
- Aquilla Chase
- Amanda Bjornstad
- Hannah Carey
To be added to the SWAG listserv, or with any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
SWAG Presents Food for Thought
Food For Thought runs every week. Through Food For Thought, students will pick up one intention card that serves as your health-centered intention or goal for the next week. Once you pick up your intention card, you will use your card as a "ticket" to pick out one snack (woohoo!). Intention cards and snacks will be laid out in the atrium at tables located right in front of Ministry every Wednesday from 12pm-1pm.
HSD Coordinated Assistance & Resource Education (CARE)
As a Jesuit institution with a social justice mission, Stritch is a community that puts students first. The HSD Coordinated Assistance & Resource Education (CARE) referral is an around-the-clock resource for students to refer someone about whom they may have a concern. Students may enter a referral regarding wellness, academic or social concerns. Once a referral is submitted the Student Affairs team will follow up to connect the student of concern with the appropriate campus resources or simply check-in to offer guidance and support. All HSD CARE referrals are confidential. Reporters may choose to remain anonymous. If you have any questions regarding HSD CARE referral, please feel free to contact Viviana Martinez, Assistant Director for Student Affairs at email@example.com.
