New Addition to Perspectives and Counseling Services Team
Dear Stritch Students:
I am pleased to introduce you to the newest member of our Perspectives team, Brittani Kindle, MSW, LCSW. She joins Jodee Elliot and Steve Uhrik, who have been part of our team since 2015-2016.
As you’ll read in her bio, one of Brittani’s main interests is destigmatizing mental health, specifically for people of color who are often not encouraged to seek mental health support. Below is Brittani’s bio, as well as bios for Jodee and Steve.
While I don’t need to remind you about the many demands of medical school, I do want to remind each of you that this Perspectives team is available to you whenever and wherever you need. Perspectives can be reached 24/7 at 1-800-456-6327. To speak with Brittani, Jodee, or Steve directly, while they are not on campus, you can reach them by using the phone number above or via email. The team is part of a broader wellness and student-centered effort at Stritch – to meet your academic, health, mental health, and spiritual needs, while you pursue your medical education. In addition to Perspectives, I encourage you to connect with Ministry, Student Life, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and ACE (Academic Center for Excellence and Accessibility) if and when you need to use these resources. Faculty and staff are also available to guide and support you through your Stritch education – and beyond.
If you have any questions about our counseling services, please contact Perspectives or the Office of Student Affairs.
Take care and please stay well and safe!
