In this state- -of- the-art simulation facility in the Walgreens Virtual Hospital, physicians-in-training, residents, and faculty hone and perfect their skills on mannequins. Through simulation exercises, participants work with a full-size human simulator capable of uniquely integrated physiology and pharmacology protocols, to help participants understand them as well as pharmacology, and crisis resource management. The exercises also allow for instruction in a variety of advanced skills such as airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac life support. Exercises can be filmed, allowing participants and faculty to review and evaluate progress.
