About the Graduate Student Council

Purpose

The purpose of the Biomedical Graduate Student Council at Loyola University Chicago's Health Science Division campus is to be a liaison between the students and administration, as well as to provide opportunities to enhance the experience of graduate students campus-wide. The Council consists of representatives from each of the programs and departments, as well as a governing board that is re-elected each academic year. 

The GSC acts as a voice for the graduate students, promoting their ideas and providing multiple services to enhance the graduate school experience.

Among other responsibilities, the GSC organizes academic and social activities:

  • Career seminars.
  • Survival skills seminars.
  • Sporting events, museums and bar nights.
  • Volunteering events.
