General Obstetrics and Gynecology

Research is underway in urogynecology, primary health care for women, and sexually transmitted diseases.


Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery

The division is conducting a clinical trial comparing surgical procedures for urinary incontinence. Other research interests include pelvic floor dysfunction, birth trauma in relation to later continence, and the effect of aging on pelvic floor function.


Gynecologic Oncology

Research interests include innovative surgical procedures, new chemotherapeutic regimens, liposomal delivery systems for chemotherapy, human papilloma virus, and cervical neoplasia and flow cytometry in neoplasia.


Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Research interests include tocolytic therapies, multi-fetal pregnancies and autoimmune disorders, pre-eclampsia, preterm labor, growth restriction, and cerebral palsy.


Reproductive Endocrinology

Research interests include uterine fibroids, endometriosis, predictors of normal fertility, laboratory-assisted fertilization, and other in-vitro technology.
