The CERC is focused on bringing together the expertise of a broad range of basic scientists to foster and fast track translational research.

Current clinical research programs are categorized within the format of special interest groups (SIGs) comprised of basic scientists and clinicians who collaborate within a particular subspecialty or disease entity. Current SIGs are centered on the following subspecialties/disease entities and/or modalities: Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, Cornea, Glaucoma, Eye modeling and imaging, Ocular blood flow, Circadian function and retinal ganglion cells, and Retinal ischemic disease.
